With
a view of fundraising for the hospital project, the
enthusiastic church members had conducted a Charity
Dinner on 26th June 2004. Famous personalities including
Film stars, Retired Police officers, Members of Kerala
Sports Persons Association (KESPA) were at the forefront
along with the church members to make this simple
function, a great success.
The
kind hearted support of the attendees were beyond
words that their presence and encouragement was real
motivation in the path of this heavenly mission. A
documentary on Shanthi Bhavan and the St. Mary’s
Mission Hospital project flashed during the function
helped to make the message of our mission reach the
crowd. The function ended with a delicious dinner.
The trust conducted a Musical & Dance Concert "Tharang" with a view of fund raising for the construction of "Abhayam" Palliative Care Centre for Cancer Patients. It was one of its kind which attracted many good hearted philanthropists in and around Chennai, on Saturday, 4th October 2008. Through this show, we could create an awareness about the Trust and its varied mission activities.
The guests include famous sports personalities, doctors from varety medical fields and specialists from Cancer Institute. Young and dynamic cine playback singers from Tamil Film industry performed whole-heartedly to cheer the audience. Famous personalities of the Television Industry anchored the show. Dance performances of famous dance troups of Chennai and Mimics show coloured the occasion as an ever remarkable one.
